Seeding & Straw

Broadcast seeding with straw mulch is a very effective way to control erosion and stabilize the soil quickly. We use a tractor to broadcast the seed and use a disk and a cultipacker to create the ideal conditions for healthy and happy grass.

  • Using a disk harrow will till up ground for proper seed depth.

This will help insures a higher germination rate of the seed.

  • Broadcasting is a great way to get even coverage that wont break the bank.

  • The cultipacker not only breaks up the clumped up soil; it leaves a even surface for new grass when it comes up. This is crucial if you want to be able to mow without bouncing around and leaving you with an uneven cut and possibly ruin the blades on the mower.

  • Nothing is more frustrating then spending thousands on seeding just to end up with the dirt you started with.

Straw Mulch is a crucial step for your newly broadcasted seed to germinate. It not only helps keep in moisture. it also helps keep weed seeds from hitting the soil and contaminating your new grass.
